This role is both sales-focused and practice-oriented, requiring strong customer-facing, leadership, and solution design skills. In addition to leading solution ideation and discovery, the Solutions Consultant provides strategic guidance to internal teams, contributes to the development of best practices, and supports the overall maturity of the Solutions Consulting practice.

This role ensures smooth communication between customers and delivery teams, aligning what is promised with what is delivered, while also helping shape solution frameworks, delivery methodologies, and internal enablement to strengthen the organization’s consulting capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead solution ideation and design sessions with prospects and clients.

  • Conduct discovery to clarify business needs, processes, and requirements.

  • Translate business needs into actionable solution designs for development and implementation teams.

  • Serve as a liaison between the Pre-Sales, Services, and Product teams to ensure all requirements, assumptions, exclusions, and related considerations are documented, communicated, and included in estimations and SOWs.

  • Deliver polished solution presentations and design recommendations.

  • Ensure alignment between customer expectations and technical feasibility.

  • Support sales enablement with design input, solution storytelling, RFI/RFP implementation-specific responses and implementation services proposal development.

  • Identify opportunities to expand solutions and strengthen partnerships.

  • Act as the client advocate during implementation, maintaining satisfaction and trust.

  • Collaborate closely with developers, project managers, and consultants to ensure delivery aligns with solution design.

  • Contribute to the development, refinement, and governance of the Solutions Consulting practice, including frameworks, standards, and repeatable methodologies.

  • Mentor and coach junior consultants and cross-functional team members on solution design, client discovery, and best practices.

  • Lead internal knowledge-sharing sessions, documentation efforts, and enablement programs to elevate solution quality and delivery consistency.

  • Participate in resource planning, solution portfolio development, and practice-level strategic initiatives.

  • Provide guidance to sales and delivery leaders on solutioning approaches, level-of-effort estimation, and scoping best practices.

  • Serve as a senior escalation point for complex solution design challenges across multiple opportunities.

  • Help define and evolve tools, templates, and solution artifacts that strengthen organizational consulting maturity.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years’ experience in solutions architecture, solutions consulting, or client-facing technical roles.

  • Proven ability to design and present solutions that meet client business goals.

  • Demonstrated leadership in solution development, consulting processes, or cross-functional technical initiatives.

  • Strong sales presentation and communication skills with executive presence, combining business acumen and a solution-oriented mindset.

  • Experience working in post-sale, solution delivery, or implementation environments.

  • Ability to bridge business requirements with technical design.

  • Experience drafting IT project scopes of work, estimates, or proposals.

  • Knowledge of software development lifecycles, SaaS architectures, and enterprise solution design.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in food, regulatory, or compliance technology industries, with additional background in CPG, NPD, enterprise supply chain or process manufacturing systems.

  • Familiarity with SaaS platforms, APIs, system integration patterns, and agile delivery methodologies.

  • Background in consulting or professional services organizations, ideally with exposure to practice development or team leadership.
