Position Summary
The Program Manager is a senior-level program delivery leader responsible for overseeing FoodChain ID’s most strategic and complex client programs—engagements involving multiple projects, integrated product roadmaps, and enterprise-scale solution delivery. This role owns program outcomes, ensures alignment between client business priorities, and FoodChain ID’s service delivery strategy.
By maintaining executive-level engagement with customers and internal stakeholders, the Program Manager ensures that projects deliver the value customers expect from FoodChain ID’s products and services, while also protecting FoodChain ID’s reputation for excellence, reducing churn risk, and driving opportunities for growth.
The Program Manager drives governance, accountability, and risk management across programs to ensure predictable results and sustained client satisfaction. Acting as a seasoned program delivery leader, this role partners closely with executive sponsors, Sales Executives, Opportunity Teams, and Product Managers to deliver measurable business value through disciplined execution and trusted client relationships. The Program Manager is an experienced professional capable of leading large PMOs, managing complex technology implementations, and operating at both the strategic and executive levels.
Key Responsibilities
Executive and Client Engagement
Serve as executive delivery owner across multiple major client programs
Build and maintain trusted relationships with customer executives and key stakeholders
Represent FoodChain ID’s strategic delivery leadership in governance meetings and executive reviews
Demonstrate progress in business value delivered, not only milestones achieved
Identify and escalate issues or risks to executive sponsors to safeguard program and client outcomes
Cross-Functional Leadership
Align consulting, product, support, and customer stakeholders under a unified delivery plan
Serve as liaison between clients and internal FCID teams to ensure consistent communication and outcomes
Partner with Product Management to align client program objectives with product roadmap commitments
Support account growth and renewal through proactive relationship management and delivery excellence
Project Governance and Oversight
Establish and enforce program governance standards, including structured reporting with KPIs, stoplight dashboards, issue and risk logs, and financial tracking.
Maintain oversight of delivery quality, budget performance, and customer satisfaction across all program workstreams
Ensure adherence to scope, change control, and risk mitigation frameworks
Create an escalation path for issues beyond project-level resolution.
Capture lessons learned and apply to strengthen delivery performance and continuous improvement across the project portfolio
Oversee multiple concurrent programs and workstreams to ensure integrated delivery success
Maintain alignment with PMO standards and best practices across consulting, product, and technology teams
Drive consistent execution discipline and accountability across all program stakeholders
Operational Excellence
Drive delivery efficiency and predictability across projects under assigned programs
Mentor and guide project managers and delivery leads to ensure high professional standards and execution quality
Provide structured, data-driven program reporting to internal and external stakeholders
Qualifications
The successful candidate will bring strong leadership experience in managing strategic customer programs where software product delivery and consulting services intersect.
7+ years of progressive experience leading strategic customer programs in software, consulting, or enterprise solutions environments
Demonstrated success in managing strategic, multi-workstream programs with executive-level stakeholders
PMP Certification preferred; additional Agile or Program Management credentials are beneficial
Proven experience running PMOs or large technology implementation programs in an executive sponsor capacity
Strong skills in program governance, risk management, and customer relationship management
Excellent communication, presentation, and executive engagement skills
Ability to operate in a matrixed organization with high visibility and accountability
Experience with enterprise software delivery and product roadmap alignment strongly preferred
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required; advanced degree preferred
Location and travel
This position is remote, but candidates must be within reasonable distance of a major US airport.
- Candidates should expect 25% travel for client visits and business engagements
