2. Role Overview
  • We are seeking an experienced Business Development professional with exposure to the Food, Beverage, Ingredients, Additives, Nutraceutical, Agriculture, Packaging, Feed or Food Testing/Certification industry. The ideal candidate should understand food manufacturing processes, food safety regulations, customer quality requirements and consultative B2B sales. 
  • Candidates having experience in any of the following industries will be preferred: ---Food Manufacturing, Beverage Industry , Dairy , Bakery , Spices , Ready-to-Eat Foods , Nutraceuticals , Health Supplements , Ingredients , Food Packaging , Food Testing Laboratories , Auditing, Certification Bodies , Inspection Agencies, Regulatory Consulting , Agriculture, Organic Products, Animal Feed , Pet Food, Testing Laboratories.
3. Key Responsibilities
  1. Prospect, cold call, and convert leads into new business across assigned markets while building and maintaining a robust pipeline through active networking and market outreach
  2. Promote FoodChain ID’s certification, compliance, and traceability solutions to food manufacturers, exporters, and agribusinesses
  3. Identify key decision makers, engage them with compelling and tailored pitches, and participate in solution pricing and negotiations to close deals effectively
  4. Deepen existing client relationships by presenting new and value-added services to generate revenue
  5. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless client delivery and satisfaction, and participate in regular client debriefs
  6. Represent FoodChain ID at industry events and conferences, leveraging market and competitor intelligence to sharpen the company's unique selling propositions
  7. Partner with senior management to evaluate market trends and identify opportunities that drive sustainable revenue growth.
  8. Meet and exceed quarterly sales targets, with a focus on certification and compliance services.
    4. Qualifications & Experience 
    # 3 –4 years of experience in selling: the following services/products would be an advantage: FSSC 22000, BRCGS, ISO 22000, HACCP, Organic Certification, Sustainability SMETA, GMP, Food Testing, Regulatory Compliance, Food Label Review, Export Compliance, Traceability Solutions
    # 3-4 years of experience in selling to: QA Managers, Food Safety Managers, Plant Heads, Regulatory Managers, Procurement Heads, Export Managers, Factory Owners
    # Must have demonstrated experience in generating new business through cold calling, networking, industry events, LinkedIn outreach and customer referrals
    # Willing to travel across India for customer meetings, exhibitions and conferences.
    # Experience in achieving Annual Sales Target, Sales Funnel, Proposal Management, # Conversion Ratio, Revenue Forecasting, Account Management. Preferred Qualification: # B.Tech in Food Technology, B.Sc in Food Science, Dairy Technology, Agriculture, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Nutrition, Veterinary Science, MBA Marketing preferred.
    # Strong consultative selling skills with the ability to translate technical certification requirements into business value for clients
