2. Role Overview
We are seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Food Safety Auditor to conduct audits of client organizations against relevant standards. The incumbent will ensure compliance with FoodChain ID’s code of ethics, confidentiality requirements, and international auditing guidelines. This role requires frequent travel, strong technical knowledge of food safety standards, and the ability to manage the entire audit cycle from planning to reporting.

This role requires frequent travel, strong technical knowledge of food safety standards, and the ability to manage the entire audit cycle from planning to reporting.
3. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct audits in accordance with ISO 19011 and FoodChain ID Management System requirements.
- Stay updated with latest regulatory requirements and technologies relevant to food safety schemes.
- Manage time effectively throughout the audit cycle – from planning to reporting.
- Cooperate and coordinate with audit team leaders during audits.
- Report unexpected situations (e.g., audit cancellations, disputes, time constraints) to reporting line/back-office/team leader.
- Develop competence in additional sectors beyond base-level qualifications.
- Participate in report reviewing as required by accreditation bodies.
- Contribute to development of food safety products and deliverables aligned with market needs.
- Follow schedules confirmed by back-office/clients.
- Maintain and protect company assets (laptop, accessories, etc.).
- Submit Travel & Expenses (T&E) statements on time.
- Adhere to terms and conditions of appointment letter.
- Coordinate with technical functions to ensure audit qualifications and reporting align with LTO requirements.
- Support sales by passing on business leads encountered during audits.

5. Criteria for Performance Evaluation (KPIs)
- Professional development and competency improvement.
- Customer feedback rating ≥ 4.0/5.
- Zero customer complaints on behavioral issues.
- Avoidance of conflict-of-interest situations.
- Adherence to environmental and safety policies.
- Qualification for new standards and improvement in competency (e.g., tutor, 2P, 3P).
- Timely defect resolution and closure of NCRs.
- Timely reporting and examination paper marking.
- Cost-effective travel planning.
- High utilization rate.
- Identification of sales opportunities.
- Graduate/Postgraduate in Bio Science.
- Minimum 7 years of food industry experience, including at least 2 years conducting 2nd or 3rd party audits.
- Successfully completed a registered Lead Auditor course based on reference standards.
- Knowledge of ISO 17021 & ISO 17065 requirements.
- Conversant with terminology and principles of relevant food safety standards.
