Assistant Regulatory Analyst (Remote, US)

Job Summary 

The Assistant Regulatory Analyst is an entry-level role that supports FoodChain ID's Regulatory Limits product. The role monitors and interprets regulatory developments, maintains accurate database content, prepares client-facing summaries, and supports the Regulatory Limits team and clients with timely, reliable information. 

Responsibilities 

  • Monitor international regulatory sources and review regulatory documents, proposals, and policy updates relevant to Regulatory Limits content. 

  • Research and interpret regulatory information; accurately update Regulatory Limits databases and complete related quality assurance activities. 

  • Assist analysts and senior analysts with maintaining Regulatory Limits content across applicable subject areas. 

  • Support database maintenance, including Market Info Report validation and the addition of new markets, commodities, and substances. 

  • Prepare regulatory summaries for client communications and compile shared team deliverables, including weekly monitors and client charts. 

  • Identify information that needs further research, escalate appropriately, and provide client support through email and the support-ticketing system. 

  • Build knowledge of Regulatory Limits products, processes, and systems while managing priorities with sound judgment, accuracy, and accountability. 

Position Requirements 

  • Bachelor's degree and 0-3 years of relevant professional experience; relevant backgrounds include food safety, science, regulatory affairs, compliance, law, agriculture, or related fields. 

  • Ability to research, review, and interpret complex regulatory documents, with strong analytical, fact-checking, and detail-oriented skills. 

  • Strong writing skills and the ability to summarize complex information clearly and concisely. 

  • Experience organizing information in spreadsheets, databases, or similar systems; proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. 

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, including the ability to manage multiple assignments and follow through on deliverables. 

  • Curiosity, sound judgment, professional discretion, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. 

  • Proficiency in written and spoken English.
