Technical Certification Evaluator – Organic Livestock Production
Position Purpose
The Technical Certification Evaluator – Organic Livestock Production is responsible for the independent technical evaluation of certification files concerning livestock production, beekeeping, and mixed farming operations. The role ensures compliance with the applicable organic regulatory framework and the Certification Body’s Quality Management System, in accordance with the principles of impartiality and competence set out in ISO/IEC 17065.

Technical Certification Evaluator – Organic Livestock Production
The Technical Certification Evaluator – Organic Livestock Production is responsible for the independent technical evaluation of certification files concerning livestock production, beekeeping, and mixed farming operations. The role ensures compliance with the applicable organic regulatory framework and the Certification Body’s Quality Management System, in accordance with the principles of impartiality and competence set out in ISO/IEC 17065.
- Conduct independent technical evaluations of certification files.
- Verify compliance with EU and national legislation on organic production.
- Ensure the correct implementation of certification procedures and decision-making rules.
- Support internal audits and accreditation assessments.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of procedures and technical guidelines.
- University degree in Agronomy, Animal Science, Veterinary Medicine, Biology, or a related scientific field.
- Excellent knowledge of organic livestock production systems and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Proven experience in inspection, certification, technical evaluation, or quality assurance within the organic production sector.
- Good knowledge of ISO/IEC 17065 principles, particularly regarding impartiality and separation of roles.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to document findings and perform critical evaluations.
- Attention to detail and strong sense of responsibility.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work under supervision while taking initiative.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a highly regulated and audit-focused environment.
Reports to the Organic Certification Manager / Technical Director.
