Senior Accounting & Tax
FCID is seeking a “Senior Accounting and Tax” to support the business operations run by the company Bioagricert S.r.l. and its subsidiaries. Primary responsibilities include management of local accounting, tax and treasury matters for the operations in Italy, Mexico, Thailand and Romania. The role will report into the FCID Senior Manager Accounting and Tax EMEA, located in Italy. The role will have responsibilities over 4 direct reports in Italy, 1 in Mexico, 1 in Thailand and 1 in Romania.
Accountabilities

Ensure integrity and compliance of all accounting matters for Italy, Mexico, Thailand and Romania. Manage revenue recognition procedures and processes. Manage general ledger activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
Perform monthly closing for Bioagricert S.r.l. using NetSuite: review of monthly accrual and related supporting documentation; GL accounts reconciliations/reclasses, intercompany reconciliations, AR/AP details and analysis, bank reconciliation, dividend payments and other cash transfer across the Group;
Import into NetSuite the monthly summary balances coming from the subsidiaries in Mexico and Thailand and from the branch in Romania;
Prepare the annual financial statement, including the minutes of BoD, the shareholder’s meeting and all the other applicable prescriptions by law. Manage and coordinate local statutory audit.
Coordinate and oversee the tax matters supported by the local advisors and the Group Tax Manager. Tax matters are mainly related to current income taxes, DTA/DTL, VAT, WHT, R&D deductions opportunities etc;
Implement new accounting policies and procedures using a risk-based approach (i.e. cash collection policies, DoA, internal control matrix);

Core competencies / requirements:

Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations
Experience of minimum 2 years in Audit (preferably Big 4 or tier 2 audit firms)
Proficiency in Excel
Proactivity, high attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work in an international, fast paced and change driven environment
Ability to manage an heterogenous team, composed by individuals with different competences and backgrounds
Place of work is Bologna with the possibility to work from home 1 day a week (Mondays and Fridays excluded)

Nice to have:

CPA or other local chartered accountant qualification
Knowledge of English
Experience with NetSuite
Experience with IFRS or US GAAP
